What is Harajuku in Japan?

Only THE coolest place in Tokyo!!! All the youngest, wildest Jap.s go there wearing the most RANDOM outfits they can get their hands on! AWESOME shopping arcade there, they sell wild costumes there and if you take photos of them you get told off (whoops!).

IF YOU GO TO JAPAN, DEFINITELY GO TO HARAJUKU!!/ :)

An idiot wrote that up there. Very hyper one too. Somewhat he’s right.

Harajuku is a type of style lots of japanese teenagers like. They’re like wild clothing. Or cosplay clothing. If you were to wear them in the U.S., people would think you’re weird. There’s this place called the Harajuku Bridge.

Harajuku (原宿) (Harajyuku) is an area of Tokyo, Japan surrounding the Harajuku Station. Harajuku is located in Shibuya Ward (in Tokyo) and is in Jingumae. The area has a worldwide reputation as one of the centers of Japanese youth fashion and culture. Tourists from all over the world come to Harajuku to view the Japanese teens who come together in the area to shop, eat, and hang out. The Japanese youth around Harajuku often wear extreme clothing styles influenced by cosplay, punk, gothic, lolita, hi-hop, and other international and Japanese subcultures.
